She has been a member of Joachim Schlömer's ensemble since 1991, working with him in Ulm, Weimar and in Basel. Inspired by a work of Andy Warhol's, she created her own vision of the artist in a choreography, which then became an integral part of the exhibition, at which she had initially seen the painting. Her latest choreography "2’s Company 4’s Crowd" featured at the Berner Tanztage in 1997. She also works on a regular basis as a theatre director. She is currently studying voice and baroque dance.
Marc Hwang - Dancer
A renowned artist and dancer. His education took place at the Ecole de Danse de Rosella Hightower in Cannes, his stage debut at the Jeune Ballet de France. There he quickly caught the attention of Maurice Béjart who engaged him for the following season at the Ballet of the 20th Century. He became a principal dancer with the company, most notably in soloist roles conferred on him by Jorge Donn. He subsequently turned to a more contemporary style and met up with the Swedish choreographer Mats Ek of Cullberg Ballet in Stockholm. There he was entrusted with roles which demand a strong technique and a keen sense for dramatic interpretation. On his return to Switzerland he joined the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève as soloist, where he continues his exploration within the field of dance, involving himself with different dance styles and new experimental works. He is also a photographer.
Affetti Ardenti - Ensemble for Baroque Music
The ensemble was founded in 1992 and aims to render baroque music accessible to a new audience. Voice, flute, viola da gamba and harpsichord permit a faithful interpretation of the music of the epoque. which is especially faithful to its dramatic aspects. The name Affetti Ardenti was in fact associated in 17th century Italy with the concept of particularly expressive passionate music. The ensemble in its new constellation is composed of musicians who have known one another since their student days at the Music Conservatory in Zürich and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Their repertoire comprises compositions by Claudio Monteverdi, Giulio Caccini, Girolamo Frescobaldi, Henry Purcell and many others.
